The Japanese have gotten hold of a time machine.

We knew it would happen sooner or later.

The weird thing is, this time machine only works on photographs. You feed it a sharp modern photo, and it comes back to you looking like it was taken sixty years ago.

Maybe it came from The Future! Or Outer Space! Or the Underground Lair of the Mole People (yikes)! We don’t know because, well, we can’t read Japanese.

All we know is, if you click “browse”, upload a photo, and then click on the blue button in the middle, the time machine magically oldifies your picture. It might also summon an army of cranky Mole People, we’re not sure.

Click if you must, just don’t say we didn’t warn you.

p.p.s. If you want to get in your momma’s good books, score her one of our custom photo bags for Mother’s Day. Last day to order for rush delivery is Monday the 28th!

LG’s 5 megapixel KF750 with DivX rebranded Secret, shhh

LG’s KF750 was just announced official-like by the non-rioting folks at Lucky Goldstar. With it, we get the official specs courtesy of, uh, Photography Blog. Why is a site for digital photogs carrying a cellphone press release, you ask? Easy, this one’s got a 5 megapixel camera with face recognition and the ability to shoot DivX video at 120fps. A member of LG’s Black Label series, the 11.8-mm slider is the thinnest 5 megapixel cameraphone on the market. Unfortunately the press release is heavy on fluff and light on specs so we can only tell you that it’ll also be sporting an auto-rotating touch-screen display, suite of mobile Google apps, and Bluetooth when it makes its European debut sometime this year, presumably, for an unknown price.

Update: A few more details are rolling in: 2.4-inch display, haptic feedback, and available in May.

Video: Digital Cowboy’s spy pen camcorder

See the camera? Good, neither will the person you’re spying on. That’s Digital Cowboy’s latest take on the digital spy pen. The ¥17,800 (about $175) DVR-BP features a 1-mm pinhole CMOS camera, mic, 2-hour battery, and 2GB of memory to store all your video deceit at 352 x 288 pixels and 15fps. Coming April 24th to a GAP changing room near you. Sample video of a uh, pussy cat after the break.
